Susan Zinn (LPCC, LMHC, NCC), known as The Heart Therapist™, is a licensed psychotherapist, national clinical counselor, researcher, and certified trauma and eating disorder specialist. Founder of Westside Counseling Center, she helps people heal trauma through evidence-based psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, and heart intelligence. Her work integrates trauma therapy, interoception, heart-brain signaling, neurocardiology, and the often-overlooked functional freeze response. A nationally recognized speaker and media spokesperson, Susan has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award and recognition from Los Angeles Times Studios. She earned her master’s degree from New York University and is pursuing a doctorate at the University of Southern California. Susan lives in Los Angeles and is a mom to her teenagers and two dogs.
